Community First - Local Funding

The Community First Programme is an £80 Million Government Funded initiative managed by the Community Development Foundation(CDF) supporting communities to come together to identify their local priorities, plan for the future, and develop grassroots activity.The programme will be led and delivered through ward based community panels, each supported by a panel partner organisation. £500 is the minimum and £2,500 is the maximum amount that can be awarded to groups for a period of one year. Each panel will have a set of local priorities.

Attended a positive meeting today with Andrea & Janice and local agencies to set up long term program for children in the Stechford area made some useful contacts. Next meeting in 2 weeks to look a applying for bids for projects, everything we discussed yesterday getting into practice. Will keep you informed of developments.
